Exciting Times At edLead
We are delighted to have a new consultant joining our team in 2018. Leanne adds considerable skill to our team with her expertise and experience. Welcome Leanne- we can’t wait to begin working with you.
I am thrilled to be joining the team at edLead Consulting.
I naturally establish respectful, positive relationships and I genuinely love supporting and coaching others to reach their potential.
Throughout the last ten years, I have had successful leadership experience as a U4 rural school Principal of five years, and as a Deputy Principal of five years in a larger city school within the Manawatu.
I have up to date experience in facilitating and coaching professional growth and learning in both leadership and teacher practice, with significant impact in the areas of: strategic planning and growth; curriculum and pedagogical development; and disciplined collaborative practice.
I believe that working together as a collective group is vital.
Developing a positive constructive culture, or collective capacity, grows relational trust, which is essential to developing school-wide effective collaborative practice.
“The power of collective capacity is that it enables ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things...working together generates commitment….The speed of effective change increases exponentially. Collective capacity gets more and deeper things done in shorter periods.” - Michael Fullan
I have successful experience in coaching aspiring leaders, including Assistant and Deputy Principals, in building collective capacity and distributed leadership within their teams and school-wide.
My knowledge and strength in curriculum and classroom practice have also assisted me in leading professional learning with my staff, and coaching beginning teachers. Great leaders grow great schools and great schools have the greatest impact on learner achievement and success.
I strongly believe that leaders need the support and guidance of a professional coach to reach their potential. With my successful experience as a leader and teacher, I am positively positioned to understand the challenges our leaders and teachers face, to help them navigate and grow both in their own professional lives and as a collective school group.
I am excited about 2018 and beyond, and look forward to the possibility of working with you or your team.
