Well done for successfully navigating term 1 2025.
We thought it would be timely as we head towards a natural quarterly check-point in the year to offer you some practical support. We know that the end of term is a great time to look back and acknowledge difference made, progress and impact. Be your own ERO. Have the tools, structures and systems in place to proactively monitor learning and teaching, celebrate successes and plan forward.
6 Time Saving Tools to Check Effectiveness
4 Ls Liked, Learned, Lacked, Longed For
Liked – What was successful?
Learned – What insights were gained?
Lacked – What was missing?
Longed for – What do we want more of or different in Term 2?
Plus | Delta
Everyone's plus and delta’s are recorded as bullet points. Plus is something that went well. Delta is a wish for the future. Delta is not necessarily something bad and it shouldn't be taken personally. Look for trends.

G: Think about the initiative – what is good about it? What is great? Make a list.
P: Ask yourself what is problematic about the initiative? Make a list.
S: How can you take what is good in the initiative, step it up and make it great?
S.C.O.T. (Strengths | Challenges | Opportunities | Threats)
The Pit Stop
Gives you the opportunity to self-assess, adjust and improve the quality of adult learning in a given context. Collect individual feedback. What are the trends? How will you respond in term 2?
A few provocations to consider;
-Intervene early at the lowest level.
-A proactive leader anticipates challenges and has a plan for handling them. A reactive leader waits for challenges to arise and then struggles to overcome them.
Best wishes for a relaxing holiday break.
